What does the CONSULTATION include?

  • A dynamic description of how different types of colleges read applications and how students may be chosen by a college.

  • A clear description of Early Decision, Early Action, and Rolling Admission and how to form a strategic approach that protects the student and creates exciting college options.

  • A potential SAT/ACT testing schedule that offers concrete suggestions for test preparation, if needed.

As we may have discussed already, the CONSULTATION includes a general read of a student’s grades and test scores as well as a discussion about which qualities an admission team would find most attractive.  Using my many years of experience as an Independent Educational Consultant, we discuss exactly how to build a solid list of colleges and universities in light of major/minor interests and academic parameters.  I attempt to help students understand how an application is read by an admission representative, how students are chosen for a class by a college, and we usually have a discussion about Early Decision, Early Action, and Rolling admission strategy.  Additionally, I make sure the SAT/ACT testing schedule is laid out and I offer concrete test preparation suggestions. With each CONSULTATION as unique as each student, I leave the student and the parents with practical next steps and a highly personalized and positive vision for the overall process going forward.

Currently, I limit my Priority Client Package students each year within a totally confidential setting including interactions beyond an office setting, so I can respond efficiently to both students and parents. My goal is that my students will arrive on campus ready to take advantage of four years of personal growth and academic success. I encourage parents to participate in this process, especially within certain areas, and I welcome their input. I am also available to help guide the decision-making process due to possible fine art talent portfolio submission, recruited athletic opportunities, as well as how to respond to waitlist consideration.  After my students enter college, I usually stay in touch with them to see how the freshman year progressed.
